About Us

Turning Struggles Into Strengths, Together

Three individuals of diverse backgrounds, symbolizing unity and resilience through the 'My Struggle' initiative.
Our Journey

Our journey fuels our mission to empower individuals to overcome homelessness, addiction, and incarceration.

Stand out with your commitment to change—empower lives, inspire hope, and create a brighter future for those overcoming life’s toughest challenges.

At My Struggle, our leaders bring lived experience in homelessness, addiction, trauma, incarceration, and much more. These experiences are not just what fuel our passion—they shape our entire approach. We believe that true, lasting change can only come from those who have walked the same path. You wouldn’t go to a car mechanic for chest pains, and the same principle applies here. We understand what lies behind the walls of those who are suffering, and we know the resilience and support it takes to guide them through. Our journey has prepared us to light the way for others, providing hope, empathy, and actionable solutions to help them reclaim their lives.

The Cost

The Problem: The Cost of Inaction

Homelessness, addiction, and incarceration aren’t just personal struggles—they carry a massive societal cost. If we choose to do nothing, these issues are projected to cost society over $10 trillion by 2030. The financial burden comes in the form of healthcare expenses, law enforcement, incarceration, lost productivity, and housing insecurity. Beyond the numbers, the human cost is immeasurable: families torn apart, cycles of poverty perpetuated, and communities weakened.

Without intervention, the ripple effects extend to future generations, trapping thousands in the same systemic struggles. Ignoring the problem doesn’t just affect those directly experiencing it—it impacts every member of society through economic strain and the loss of human potential.

At My Struggle, we refuse to accept this future. By investing in proven solutions like mentorship, transitional housing, and innovative giving programs, we aim to disrupt this costly cycle and create opportunities for lasting change. Together, we can rewrite the story and build a society where recovery, reintegration, and success are attainable for all.

Key Facts:

  • Projected societal cost of $10 trillion by 2030 without action.
  • The U.S. spends billions annually on healthcare, incarceration, and law enforcement for preventable cases.
  • The generational impact of inaction perpetuates poverty and instability.
